So, it's the end of the year- the day where all the elected officials pretend that they've done so much for you, or if they're in the opposition party, how much they could have done for you if their party was in power, even though they didn't when it was. Tonight they'll probably be at high end parties, dancing like the smooth criminals they think they are.

20-30 million renters never got help with their rent, even though the government took away their income sources, especially small business owners and independent contractors like taxi drivers and hair stylists. Parents DID get monthly $250 checks, but that's officially over and the government got away with pretending they "cut childhood poverty in half."

During a year of pandemic, tens of millions of people were deprived of healthcare, despite Joe Biden's (AND Barack Obama's) promise of a public option. Officials who take big pharma's money want to mandate "vaccines" that don't prevent Covid but they won't mandate that health insurance companies provide coverage.

We're still supporting and selling weapons to the Saudis in Yemen. The MIC successfully couped Guinea, and is trying to coup more countries than ever. Our government continues to try to coup Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela for made-up offenses that many of our allies, like Colombia or Egypt, are actually doing. Biden is trying to drive us to war with Russia and China at once. We even screwed over one of our allies- France- on a deal for submarines to Australia.

We saw the Israeli government massacre hundreds of Palestinians, and then watched as our elected officials pretended that was Israel defending its border and continue to support them. Congress even through extra money at Israel after the Iron Dome was funded. But after a few news cycles, most Americans stopped talking about these ongoing atrocities, despite the continued ethnic cleansing going on under the guise of "a few evictions" here and there.

We have seen the same immigration policies that millions of people were furious about a couple of years ago continue. Not just continue, but expand. Joe Biden talked about sending immigrants (refugees) to Guantanamo Bay. Children are still being put in cages, refugees are still being made to remain in Mexico and temporary protected status for Haitians (which Trump revoked) has not been restored.

Despite promises of the contrary, Joe Biden has allowed more new drilling permits in 1 year than Trump or Obama ever did. He's refused to ban fracking. Oil subsidies have gone up, not down. Protesters of pipelines like Line 3 have mostly gone ignored by the establishment. And it came out that the US Navy has been poisoning drinking water in Oahu, Hawaii for decades and has been covering it up.

Mark Zuckerberg has announced that he is making his company, now called Meta, into a technofeudalist virtual reality world complete with a marketplace, where he will be the supreme ruler.

A couple of corporations have been allowed to create their own towns, with complete control. Chevron was allowed to try and convict Steven Donzinger for defeating them in court, with a corporate-friendly judge and a prosecutor who works for a firm that represents Chevron but STILL has not paid court-ordered damages to Ecuador.

Our government has arrested a Venezuelan citizen for trying to get food and medicine to Venezuela and continues to seek the arrest of a North Korean citizen for trying to feed North Koreans as the US use of lawfare increases.

And the US continues to sponsor the arrest and psychological torture of an award winning foreign journalist for truthful reporting, as US officials and media pretend that his persecution is about anything else.

And somehow, despite all the mandates, the deprivation, the intentional sickness, the abhorrent immigration policies, the corporate exploitation, the imperialism and the persecution of political prisoners, tens of millions of people still believe that we are a free country. Our streets should be filled with people who are mad as hell and not going to take anymore, but instead they're watching football or reality TV or playing Angry Birds on their phones. A massive movement could create massive change through political pressure and through elections, but half of us are so disaffected- so exploited- that they have given up hope of making change.

But please DO tell us, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Mike Thompson, how great job growth has been due to an economy that YOU closed and then opened again. DO tell us how tens of millions of people who have given up looking for a job that pays a livable wage or have timed-out on their unemployment benefits makes the official unemployment numbers look good. DO tell us, as we see the number of homeless and the number of people begging for money at intersections has skyrocketed, how great "the economy" is doing and how we're all better off than before. We all know you're completely full of shit. You only win elections by making people fear your opponents, not by working for the people. If you think this means you, it probably does. Get the hell out of our government! We need leaders who put people first, not bribed officials who lie and make excuses.

US forces in Syria have killed thousands and thousands of civilians. This episode of Breaking Points discusses a NY Times investigation and details bombing buildings without knowing the inhabitants and declaring all strikes to be defensive strikes. This is ghastly!
Mike Thompson is a liar who has voted against banning ivory imports and who has voted in favor of allowing polar bear imports, and as a state senator voted to allow the massacre of mountain lions.
