Great news -- Tom’s bill to permanently ban uranium mining around the Grand
Canyon has passed the House of Representatives with an overwhelming majority of
support!

Toxic uranium mining has already taken countless lives, contaminated our
drinking water, affected nearby Native American tribes and increased risks of
cancer. That’s why it’s so important that we put an end to this dangerous
practice for good.

But now, while we’re working to get the Senate to vote on his legislation,
special interests with the nuclear energy industry are trying to persuade
Donald Trump to increase domestic uranium mining. That would be taking us in
the wrong direction.

We have to stand up to these special interests who care more about uranium
