Amid waves of virulent disinformation, continued bans and restrictions on what can be taught in American classrooms, and the repression of artists and activists in authoritarian regimes, we have our work cut out for us in 2022. So, I’m asking you one more time for your support.

We’ve accomplished so much this year: resisting book bans, defending free speech in schools and universities, providing a lifeline to imperiled writers worldwide amid a tide of rising authoritarianism. 

So please, as we draw together at year’s end, make the most generous gift you can.

So as you settle down to see off the old year and ring in what we hope will be a better 2022, please give what you can. Commit to protecting the freedom to write with us.
