One last message from me before we close the books for 2021.
Hey, John, it’s Morgan! First, I want to wish you a very happy new year, and I want to thank you for taking the time to open this email from me — it really means a lot to me.
Second, I want to be frank with you, John. The last thing I want to do on a holiday is waste your time. Today marks our campaign’s last FEC deadline of 2021. And just a few hours from now, at midnight tonight, our books will close and everything we’ve raised this quarter will become public knowledge. Right now, what we’ve raised is not enough.
Please, if you can afford it, can you rush a contribution to our campaign before midnight tonight?

As a Black woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right – whether it was as a lawyer, a community organizer, or now as a candidate – I’m used to being counted out.
Our public fundraising numbers can change the game and make all of our opponents take the strength of our campaign seriously. And right now, John, we’re seriously behind.
That’s why I’m humbly asking you to not look away. Don’t close out of this email. Don’t scroll away. By giving anything that you can right now, you’re having a real and immediate impact on our campaign. Can I count on your contribution tonight, John?

Yours in solidarity,
Morgan
