John, this is your last chance to answer Brady’s call. The call that Steve Kerr and so many activists and survivors have already met: Please, before midnight, will you make a year-end gift and have it TRIPLED to help Brady prevent gun violence and save lives in 2022?

I promise this is the last email I’ll send you tonight – there is literally no more time to reach out again. You know what’s at stake, and I know you believe in this work and the tangible change we can achieve together. So in these final moments of the year, I’m coming to the community who has not let me down in this fight and asking you just one more time:

Can you give right now? It would mean a lot if you could even give again – any amount you can afford. Every dollar you can spare will be TRIPLED toward Brady’s effort to defeat the NRA, take action on gun violence prevention, and save lives. Join me, I’m donating right now to have my dollar go THREE TIMES as far.

I’m asking a lot of you, because there’s so much on the line. But I believe in you and in us.

Subject: checking in with you.

Hi, John, it’s Steve Kerr again: I’m reaching out to update you on Brady’s critical end-of-year goal. The long and short of it is that I need your help if we’re going to make our goal.

Brady is still falling way short of the funds we need to start and continue 2022 in the strongest position. And after a strenuous fundraising year, reaching this goal could not be more critical. Right now, your dollars can be TRIPLED — which means triple the funds toward expanding Brady Background Checks and banning assault weapons from our streets. It’s triple the chance we can take action that is statistically proven to save lives. So I’m asking: Will you make a year-end gift right now — every dollar goes three times as far — to help Brady prevent gun violence and save lives?

This is personal for me, John, as it is for many of the people who work at Brady every day. We know all too well what it's like to lose a loved one to gun violence. When my father was shot and killed, I realized this is an epidemic that can affect anyone — so everyone has to be part of ending it. But if we don't hit this end-of-year goal and help Brady lead the charge, more people could be at risk.

In moments like this — when we're trailing where we need to be — I like to tell my players to dig deep, put everything they've got onto the court, and focus on what matters. So now, with so much at stake, I'm turning directly to you and asking if you can dig deep for Brady: Will you rush a $5 contribution right now — and have your gift TRIPLED ahead of the BIGGEST and FINAL deadline of the year — so Brady can take action to prevent gun violence and save lives?
