A federal judge just blocked Trump’s Denial of Care Rule from going into effect.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌        ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌        ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌        ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌        ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌        ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Big news – Trump’s Denial of Care Rule was just DEFEATED in court!

Trump’s Denial of Care Rule invited health care workers to impose their religious beliefs on patients by denying medical treatment, even when life-saving, to virtually anyone — a stark violation of religious freedom. Now, thanks to today’s ruling, this discriminatory rule is blocked nationwide.

The Denial of Care Rule will NOT go into effect as planned on November 22, 2019.

We are thankful the judge in this case saw this discriminatory rule for what it was and stopped it from putting patients’ lives at risk.

Americans United has fought this rule since its inception, and our work would not have been possible without your enduring and generous support. This is YOUR victory.

We are still fighting two lawsuits against the Denial of Care Rule that address the religious freedom question, with important hearings coming as early as next week. We must continue the fight and prepare for the Trump administration to appeal this ruling.

Thanks for all you do.
