Friends,

As you may have heard, last night, voters in Kentucky narrowly elected Andy Beshear as their next governor. This was a clear sign that voters won't be swayed by national Republicans and special interests trying to buy elections.

But, this also means that Louisiana will be the last stand for the special interests in 2019. We know that Eddie Rispone will be flooding this race with his own money, and he'll also be calling in help from D.C. Republicans.

Now, look friend, this runoff isn't about partisan politics. This is about continuing the progress we've made. This is about making things better for Louisiana.

We're expecting more attacks before Election Day. As we saw in Kentucky -- this could be a very close election. We need to ensure that we have the resources to fight back and win this runoff.

We've set a rapid response goal of $25,000 before midnight tonight. Can we count on you to help us get there?

I'll be honest -- this is going to be a tough runoff election. I know we have what it takes to win this fight, but I need you with me. We can't leave anything up to chance. Let's not wish we had done more.

We're almost out of time, and there's too much at risk right now to fall short. Will you pitch in right now to ensure we finish this race strong?

Thank you,

Governor John Bel Edwards
