I hope you and your loved ones have had a restful holiday season so far.

I know you're eager to pop champagne (or your beverage of choice) and ring in the New Year with your loved ones, but before you do, I have to humbly ask you to pitch in to support Tom's campaign for the first time in 2021. [[link removed]]

I wouldn't bother you on the eve of a holiday if this were any other deadline, but it's not. At midnight, we'll close the books on 2021 AND our last full month of fundraising before Tom's public filing deadline in January. After tonight, Tom will only have a matter of days to raise as much as possible before our numbers are made public, so we can't afford to come up short tonight.

But, most importantly, you've helped show Marylanders the Tom who I know and love – the husband who has always supported my work as an anti-poverty lawyer and homeless advocate. The father, who leads by example and shows up for his kids, no matter what. The coach, who is always ready with a plan and an encouraging word. The neighbor, who is ready and willing to lend a helping hand. And the no-nonsense leader, who delivers for the people counting on him.

I know that Tom will work harder for your family than anyone else in this race, and more importantly, will be able to hit the ground running on Day 1 because of his extensive experience in government. Throughout his career, Tom has always fought to make life better for people. It's just who he is, and I know he'll do the same as governor if we can get him to Annapolis.
