As the end of the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you. It’s because of you that I had the courage to launch a campaign to become the next representative in my hometown Laredo, Texas.
Laredo, and the whole South Texas region, is a mighty community. And it’s through my community’s support and encouragement, that I decided to run again to unseat our current representative.
My life experiences and career as an immigration attorney taught me first-hand that the rules of this country weren’t written for everyone. Many of the problems our district is facing were caused by the policies set by our leaders in Washington, D.C. I saw very little action by our own representative, Henry Cuellar, on passing meaningful legislation our community in Texas can actually benefit from.
I had enough of our representative, Henry Cuellar, working with right-wingers in Congress to block our once-in-a-generation chance to make meaningful progress on addressing economic injustice and the climate crisis. That’s why I’m proud to run to become the next representative for Texas’ 28th-district to bring the bold solutions that our communities have been demanding for years.
Today is the last day we have to bring in a record-breaking fundraising haul before the new year.
