John, I know I
don't have to tell you how remarkable a 4X match is -
particularly today, the last day of 2021. Nor do I need to tell you
that this is your last opportunity to make your year-end gift, which
may be tax-deductible, to offer compassionate care and support to the
more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease.

phenomenal things we've accomplished over the last year. Thanks to to
the incredible support of our community, we were able to:

* Answer more than 220,000 calls through our 24/7 Helpline
(800.272.3900), offering free confidential support and
information to people facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
* Invest $70 million in Alzheimer's and dementia research,
including more than $59 million in grants to 253 new scientific
investigations.
* Advocate for an increase in Alzheimer's and dementia research at
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of $300 million,
bringing federal funding to $3.2 billion annually.

And I know that with you by our side,
we'll achieve even greater things in 2022.

In just a few hours, we'll ring in a
new year - with both new opportunities and new challenges.

A generous donor who wishes to remain
anonymous has pledged to quadruple-match every gift made before
midnight tonight, up to a total of $150,000. Their gift will benefit
the Tau Pipeline Enabling Program (T-PEP), a funding initiative to
accelerate drug development breakthroughs that could help mitigate the
toxic effects of tau protein "tangles" in the brain. Because
tau tangles are implicated in a number of neurodegenerative disorders,
the research made possible by T-PEP could potentially benefit
individuals living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease,
frontotemporal dementia and more.
