I’m laser-focused on meeting our fundraising goal because I know Republicans could spend millions attacking me—they see our swing district as one of Democrats’ most vulnerable and key to the majority.
New congressional lines were just finalized, and we know now that this race could be our toughest yet. It was won by Newsom by just 1%, and 70% of the voters in this district are brand new to me. That means I need to hit the ground running, and your donation today helps us do that.
Our race could even end up being one of the most expensive House races of 2022. That’s because running here in Orange County simply is more expensive than running in other parts of the country. We’re in the second most expensive TV media market in the country, and we will have to reach thousands of swing voters. That takes serious resources!
This December 31st deadline isn’t just a gimmick. It’s our final federal fundraising deadline of the year, and after 12/31 we have to publicly report how much we’ve raised. Reporting a strong number shows I have grassroots support and can help keep dark money conservative groups from involving themselves in our race.
