2022: A Year of Opportunity

There are just hours until midnight and I wanted to be the first to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know what lies ahead for us in 2022.

With voters rejecting the far-left policies of Joe Biden and the Democrats, 2022 will be a year of opportunity, not just for us here in Indiana, but across the country. For the first time ever, Indiana’s First Congressional District is in play as a potential Republican pick-up. We’ll do everything we can to make that pick-up a reality, retain our current seats, and help lead the Republican take-back of the U.S. House. And in the U.S. Senate, we’ll secure Todd Young’s seat beyond a doubt and give Republicans the momentum to reestablish a conservative majority.

As we've shown time and time again, if we focus and work together as Republicans, we simply can’t lose.

Let's make 2022 no different.

May you have a blessed and prosperous new year.

Kyle Hupfer
Chairman, Indiana Republican Party
Governor Holcomb's Week That Was
Continuing the Fight Against COVID-19
Governor Holcomb was joined by state health officials Kris Box, M.D. and Chief Medical Officer Lindsay Weaver to address the recent surge of COVID-19 cases.

During the briefing, it announced that the Indiana Department of Health has partnered with the Indiana National Guard to deploy six-person teams to nearly two dozen hospitals to help with staffing shortages. Each team will be deployed in two-week increments, with each hospital having the option to request a two-week extension.

Gov. Holcomb thanked healthcare workers for their efforts, stating that they are making a "huge difference" in the state's fight against COVID-19.

"I know how tired you are. You are making a difference one family at a time."
In step with his previous comments on the importance of utilizing the vaccine as the best tool to protect against COVID-19, Gov. Holcomb stated:

“If you have been vaccinated and you’ve gotten your booster, that’s not all you can do. And if you can appeal to folks who are skeptical of the efficacy of the vaccine please do that. You may be the person someone trusts that’s holding out. I’ve heard these cases too. It could be in the Y, it could be at church. If you play bridge with a group, who knows what the group is, but if you are a trusted individual in your cohort, you can make the differences in someones else’s families.”
