Hi, friend! Spirit Day 2019 was a resounding success, and that’s due in part to an AWESOME group of folks known as the Earpers. Who are the Earpers, you wonder? I’m so happy you asked.

The Earpers are fans of the TV show Wynonna Earp, which has been a bastion of LGBTQ representation and inclusivity. Members of the cast and crew have taken to social media to fight for LGBTQ rights, and their fans (the Earpers!) have taken their support to the next level: Every year, they run a campaign for Spirit Day where they come together to support LGBTQ youth, and this year, they raised more than $11,000!

We at GLAAD wanted to share this story with you and say a huge THANK YOU to the Earpers, because we’re so inspired by this awesome group of fans. Friend, supporters like the Earpers (and like YOU!) are the reason we can run amazing programs to uplift and empower LGBTQ youth all year round. If you want to join in the spirit, donate $25 to support GLAAD’s work with LGBTQ youth right now, and let’s keep the momentum going:

Thank you so much to the Earpers — and to you, friend — for all that you do to create a brighter future for LGBTQ youth.
