Dear John,

In 2021, the ongoing harms of eugenics – and challenges to them – seemed to pop up everywhere, from Britney Spears’ fight for reproductive autonomy to the long-delayed California decision to compensate survivors of state-sponsored eugenic sterilizations.

Here at CGS, we’re fighting a new eugenic danger that’s still largely under the radar. With new genetic selection and modification technologies, some fertility clinics see huge profits in offering “better” children to parents who can afford it – manipulating our desire to offer our kids the best possible start in life.

We’re determined to prevent this techno-eugenic future, where people are judged before birth according to the genes their parents can buy. As you consider your year-end giving, we hope you’ll support CGS’ efforts to prevent a dangerous new eugenics.
There are just a few hours left to make a contribution and help us reach our goal of $12,500 by midnight tonight. We’re so close, and thanks to matching funds from generous CGS supporters, your gift will go twice as far!

We’re depending on you to join us in this fight.

Best wishes for the new year,
Marcy Darnovsky
