Dear John,

As the New Year approaches there's still time to support our Going Further Appeal [[link removed]] and help confront the big issues driving people to live in poverty and ill-health.

Together with community leaders, health workers and activists around the world, we are building broad alliances to address policy issues that are complex and sometimes controversial

From the legacies of colonialism to the impact of drug legislation, together we're exposing and addressing the injustices that make life harder for millions of people.

Please donate today and help tackle the causes of poverty and poor health [[link removed]]

Over this past year we've been working with partners across the world to look at how can we move beyond the ‘aid’ narrative and present a more accurate view of the issues around 'international development'.

Because, as long as it is presented as a matter of simple charity, it will be harder to address the economic exploitation, political machinations and environmental degradation that drives global poverty, poor health and inequality.

We've also engaged activists globally to look at the benefits and challenges of implementing legal regulation of drugs, developing recommendations that place human rights, social justice and public health at the centre of legal regulation.

And we've continued to support educators so they can teach about the impact of colonialism how it contributes to the global poverty, inequality and ill-health we see today.

Please donate today and help build a movement for change [[link removed]]

Please give to our winter appeal [[link removed]] and stand with people across the world as they challenge the injustice and inequality that denies millions the chance to live a healthy life.

• £22 could pay for one radio broadcast to raise awareness of community issues

• £75 could cover the cost for an expert from the Global South to participate in a workshop on key issues around poverty and health

• £188 could pay a month’s salary for a social worker who ensures the most vulnerable and marginalised community members get the support they need

Yours sincerely,

Siaffa Bunduka
