We’re coming up on an important fundraising deadline tonight at midnight.
I’m sure you’ve been seeing a lot of emails about the “FEC deadline” and “end of quarter” in your inbox these last few days, so I wanted to take a moment to explain what those terms mean and why this deadline is so important.
The Federal Election Commission is tasked with compiling and reporting campaign finance data. And every quarter, campaigns are required to submit a report of what they’ve raised.
These reports are incredibly important for grassroots campaigns like ours that don’t take any corporate PAC money — especially because our fundraising power is compared to establishment campaigns that rely on massive amounts of corporate and lobbyist funding.
A strong Q4 fundraising report from our campaign will end the year proving just how powerful our small-dollar, grassroots movement for equity and justice is as we head into 2022.
You have yet to make a contribution this quarter. A $3 contribution from you today would send a powerful message to opponents that Ayanna and our people-powered movement aren’t going anywhere.
