.
Dear John,
There are just hours left in 2021, but there’s still time to make a difference for conservation in Wisconsin!
Conservation voters like you made enormous climate progress this year, helping pass the Build Back Better Act – the most comprehensive climate bill in American history – in the House of Representatives and racking up local climate wins in Brown County, La Crosse, and Appleton.
But our work is far from over. So much is at stake in the 2022 elections, and fossil fuel companies, anti-democracy decision makers and powerful, polluting special interests are aligning to unseat our climate champions and unleash their destructive politics and policy on our communities.
We can win a carbon-free Wisconsin with grassroots power and an energized base of conservation voters – but we need your support.
We are preparing for an intense, competitive election in November that will decide the direction of our state and federal politics – and our environment – for years to come.
Conservation voters must head into the coming year ready to keep pushing for strong, decisive climate action – and to ensure our transition to clean energy is just and equitable, and the people suffering most from the effects of climate change feel the benefits of our work.
We urgently need your support to help elect and protect pro-conservation candidates, keep the governorship and its veto power, and build momentum on climate at the federal and local levels.
We need you in this fight with us, John. Will you chip in a year-end gift that will be put straight to work to defend our climate progress and elect conservation champions at every level in 2022? Thank you for all your incredible support for conservation! Kerry Schumann Executive Director Wisconsin Conservation Voters P.S. Your support helped us make huge strides toward a clean energy future, but continued climate progress is on the line and we have to get to work today. Can we count on your support with a generous year-end gift that helps us fight to elect climate leaders at every level in 2022? |
