Families across Afghanistan have been forced to flee their homes, often without enough time to take essential items like winter coats. Many had nowhere to go and had to set up tents in Kabul's parks — where temperatures at night are already dropping below freezing.
Our teams are working around the clock to provide emergency cash so people can get the winter items they need. We are also supporting health clinics that are treating malnourished children, because winter exacerbates the crises — like hunger — families are already facing.
$56 can provide 10 warm blankets. $80 can treat a child for acute malnutrition. $200 can provide a refugee family with coats, hats, gloves and boots. These are just a few examples of what your support could do in crisis zones facing harsh winters. |
