Hello,
As 2021 comes to a close and we wrap up our end-of-year fundraising campaign, I wanted to share a short reflection. When you’re finished reading, I hope you’ll consider supporting our mission with a contribution.
A little over one month ago, I gave birth to my second child, Noah Louis. When I think about my two little boys, I think about their future and about the kind of country they’ll grow up in. America has never been perfect, but the promise of our founding principles has inspired generation after generation to push us closer to realizing our highest ideals.
Now, as we endure an increasingly antidemocratic lurch from factions within our own politics, the work to keep that promise and uphold our principles has never been more critical.
The name Noah comes from the Hebrew word Noach, meaning rest or peace. We are hoping that in these highly vitriolic political times, Noah can inspire a little peace for all of us. For me, he has already reminded me of the urgency of our mission to revitalize democracy.
Please help us reach our $25,000 end-of-year fundraising goal with a gift of $28 or whatever you can afford. We’re just $4,000 away, and your support will help us scale our work in the 2022 midterm elections and beyond.
I’m sorry to interrupt your holiday season — our team is taking some well-deserved time off this week, and I hope you’re able to relax, too. Wishing you a healthy and happy new year.
In service,
