Dear John, This year, as COVID-19 continued to wage its war on our health and economy, our SNAP Hotline Team answered thousands of questions regarding Pandemic EBT, changes to the SNAP program, unemployment and more. All of this, in addition to our core work of helping people navigate the SNAP application process and providing case management when needed. The questions and challenges we heard from our callers were shared with our Advocacy and Education team members. This shaped our creation of educational materials, informed our advocacy/policy efforts and created a feedback loop to share client experiences with local and state offices. We also continued to support our food pantry and soup kitchen Victory in Partnership (VIP) partners as they struggled to deliver food safely to growing numbers of individuals and families in their neighborhoods. |
