On the final day of the year, I wanted to take a moment to be vulnerable with you.

This isn’t something that I normally talk about a lot, but I am one of the millions of Americans who lives with a disability.

Campaigning is challenging enough as it is, but to run for Senate with moderate-to-severe hearing loss has been an entirely different experience.

In the era of masks, social distancing, plexiglass, and phone and Zoom calls, what’s required of candidates who want to run winning campaigns can feel impossible for folks with disabilities like hearing loss.

But thankfully, my grassroots team – people like YOU – that has stuck with me and supported our campaign this year has made it that much easier to help us run a competitive campaign to defeat Ron Johnson. And together, I know that we can hit this final benchmark of the year and put this campaign in a position to hit the ground running in 2022.
