In traditionally-Republican Johnson County, we helped increase turnout by 11.3% over 2014 levels, gained more than 52,500 Democratic votes, and turned our 1.5% loss in 2014 into a 16.5% margin of victory.
That's not all.
You helped nearly triple our winning 2014 margin in Riley County – from 7.7% to 23.1% – and scored a 23.4% margin of victory in Shawnee County. A double-digit turnout increase in Douglas County swelled our 67% vote share to a whopping 74%!
Tens of thousands more people submitted advance ballots compared to 2014, smashing through a 22-year turnout record in Wyandotte County. We flipped Sedgwick County and Harvey County from red to blue with a surge in turnout, and Crawford County in southeast Kansas made clear it was staying blue.
We did this – you did this. Let's do it again in 2020.

When, weeks before Election Day, Republicans brazenly moved Dodge City's already overburdened polling place a mile away from the nearest out-of-town bus stop, we sprang into action. With your support, we deployed a bilingual canvassing and organizing operation, sending post cards and putting up digital, newspaper, radio, and TV ads to inform voters and encourage mail-in voting. We nearly halved the margin we lost the surrounding county by four years prior and doubled advance voting from 26.5% to 52.6% – skyrocketing the county to the top county in the state for advance ballots as share of the total vote.
Without your support, we would've fallen short. That's why we're counting on grassroots supporters like you to help us win up and down the ticket next year.
Onward,
KDP Team
