As gun deaths surge, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will short-staff Florida's police precincts, ordering cops to chase baseless election fraud conspiracies instead of preventing murders.

DeSantis is covering for Marco Rubio, who CNN just ranked the #2 Republican Most Likely To Be Ousted. Now DeSantis wants $5.7 million in taxpayer dollars for his own dedicated paramilitary force with “unprecedented authority” to cast out drop-off ballots and dissolve our progressive movement, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

But progressive women are rallying behind voting rights champion Val Demings. Demings will fight to pass the Freedom to Vote and John Lewis Voting Rights Acts, and end DeSantis and Rubio's right-wing power-grab for good.

But last quarter Marco Rubio's deep-pocket donors poured $5.5 million into his campaign to crush Val Demings and our movement. And the latest polls show that their sexist electioneering engine is working—Rubio just inflated his lead in the polls.
