Thank you for all we’ve accomplished together this year! Our movements are much stronger when we offer what we can and leverage our collective power. Dear human in the GGJ constellation,

My name is Sam Vinal and I live on Tongva Land, a.k.a. Los Angeles. I give to Grassroots Global Justice Alliance because they’re doing some of the dopest work on Turtle Island and internationally: deep to the root, transformational, and intersectional with many feminisms interwoven. 

From engaging over a hundred international grassroots feminists in a months-long virtual organizing school, to bringing frontline leadership to the fight for urgent climate action and a Just Recovery in this moment of crisis, GGJ and its members model resisting oppressive systems while advancing alternative solutions born out of our radical imagination. I know in my heart that this is exactly the work we need, and it flipping inspires me!  

It's an honor and a privilege for me to give to this powerful, unapologetic organization that’s building people power across borders. When I donate, I feel in alignment with my principles and commitment to returning resources where they belong. I truly believe there is power in moving resources together to build the kind of world that we all deserve.

So, as GGJ gears up for a year of even more possibilities, I want to ask you to do 3 things:

First, join me to move some money, moolah, dough, scratch, skrilla—whatever you call it— to GGJ. Right now, do it. Take out that checkbook or go online. Help that money move like medicine to where it needs to go, and do it out of love and alignment. Know that any amount you’re able to donate is valuable to this work and worth celebrating as a contribution to movements.

Second, appreciate what you’ve done. Acknowledge the intentions you bring to resourcing this work, and the impact you’re making by taking this step. 

Finally, make a commitment to continue to support, learn, and do the work in any way possible. Making a donation is important, but it is just one of many ways to contribute to movements. The road to transformation requires all of us to show up however and whenever we can.

Querido ser humano en la constelación de GGJ,

Me llamo Sam Vinal y vivo en tierra Tongva, también conocida como Los Ángeles. Yo dono dinero a Grassroots Global Justice Alliance porque el trabajo que hacen está entre los mejores esfuerzos en la Isla Tortuga y a nivel internacional: penetrante hasta la raíz, transformador, e interseccional con muchos feminismos entrelazados. 

Desde conectar a más de cien feministas de base internacionales en una escuela virtual de organización con una duración de varios meses, a llevar el liderazgo de primera línea a la lucha por la acción climática urgente y una Recuperación Justa en este momento de crisis, GGJ y sus miembros demuestran la resistencia a los sistemas de opresión mientras avanzan soluciones alternativas nacidas de nuestra imaginación radical. Yo sé en mi corazón que este trabajo es exactamente lo que necesitamos, ¡y realmente me inspira!  

Para mí es un honor y un privilegio donar a esta organización poderosa y valiente que está construyendo un poder popular que traspasa las fronteras. Al donar, siento la alineación con mis principios y un compromiso por restituir los recursos a donde pertenecen. Creo realmente que hay poder en mover recursos colectivamente para construir el tipo de mundo que todos merecemos.

Entonces, mientras GGJ se prepara para un año de aún más posibilidades, quiero pedirte que hagas 3 cosas:

Primero, únete a mí para mover algo de dinero, plata, feria, guita—llámalo como quieras— a GGJ. Hazlo, ya mismo. Saca esa chequera o entra en línea. Ayuda a que el dinero se mueva como la medicina a donde se necesita, y hazlo por amor y alineación. No dudes que cualquier cantidad que puedas donar es importante para este trabajo y merece que se celebre como contribución a los movimientos.

Segundo, aprecia lo que has hecho. Reconoce tus intenciones al aportar recursos a este trabajo, y el impacto de tomar este paso. 

Finalmente, comprométete a continuar apoyando, aprendiendo y haciendo el trabajo de cualquier manera que sea posible. Hacer una donación es importante, pero es solo una de las muchas formas de contribuir a los movimientos. En el camino hacia la transformación es necesario que cada persona participemos como sea y cuando podamos.
