Time For Some Deep Rethinking

As the pandemic winds down, whether or not so many in the media and officialdom want it to, it is time to start some after action evaluation.  Somethings needs to be reconsidered.

Let’s end the “noble lie.”  We all know about Fauci and the “noble” mask lie.  Turns out that is not the only such “noble” lie:

NY health official admits the released that scary alert about increasing pediatric hospitalizations not because there’s an actual issue, but just to “motivate” parents to vaccinate kids.

This is a guaranteed backfire.  Number 1, you can’t lie enough to cover your lie. ...

“No Federal Solution” Reveals More than Biden’s Incompetence

So, yesterday the president participated in a regular call with the National Governor’s Association.  Here’s the money quote:

GOVERNOR HUTCHINSON:  Thank you, Jeff.  And I want to thank all of the White House team for being such great support to the governors.

And I want to thank, Mr. President — your address to the nation last week.  Thank you for your comments designed to de-politicize our COVID response.  I think that was helpful.

This morning I posted how our “discussions” about covid had become something other than a discussion, that reason and rationality seemed simply not to be at play.  Instapundit was writing about similar things, though on a deeper level.  He ran into some articles about reading and writing.
