Hey John -- it’s Margaret, Jared’s campaign manager. You’ve heard a lot from our finance team, so today I wanted to outline why reaching this fundraising goal is so critical to our campaign strategy.
Here’s what I see as the most important aspects of our race so far:
1. Right at the beginning of this election cycle, the GOP establishment listed Jared as a top target to beat in 2022.
2. They doubled down on their efforts when Kevin McCarthy added one of our opponents to his “Young Guns” list of priority GOP candidates.
3. Outside groups have already invested over $2 million in our district to attack Jared.
4. We’ve put up strong fundraising numbers after every quarter to date, but we have our last deadline of 2021 coming up tomorrow night, and we’re still $4,960 short of our goal.
The first three points have already happened and are largely out of our control -- but we still have an opportunity to close the gap ahead of the FEC deadline and reach our quarterly fundraising goal.
John, Jared doesn’t take a cent of corporate PAC money because he is beholden to his constituents and his constituents only. He relies on grassroots supporters like you to help our team reach every fundraising benchmark. Will you chip in whatever you can to ensure our team closes the $4,960 gap before tomorrow’s deadline?
