John, our opponents will be watching our numbers.
This end-of-year fundraising deadline is a big one for Real Justice. After midnight on December 31st, we are legally required to file our numbers with the Federal Election Commission. After that, our numbers will be public.
This year, our opponents have launched huge attacks on our efforts — between police unions, wealthy conservatives, and dark money groups — with amounts that are bigger than what we budget for an entire year at Real Justice.
Despite their attacks, we’ve accomplished so much this year, and that’s because of your support.
John, we don’t have the kind of money that our opponents do. We count on grassroots donations from people like you. Every dollar you give has an important impact on our efforts.
We’re still $11,373 away from our goal of raising $530,000 before the end of the year. This is the amount we NEED to raise in order to get started on our 2022 plans right away. Any misstep is an opportunity our opponents will take to stop our progress.
To be honest, we had a slower fundraising year than we anticipated. But now, in December, we have limited time to make up for it.
Now is the time to dig deep, John. We have even bigger, more ambitious plans for 2022. We are doing the hard, necessary work of building a different kind of justice system that centers communities, not criminalization, and we do that by electing change agents who have the power to move those efforts forward.
That’s where you come in.
No matter the amount, your donation helps our plans come to life, helps elect justice champions, and helps change what it means to have real justice for our communities.
Thank you,
Zoë Wong
