![]() Team, With less than two weeks from the one-year anniversary of the attack on the Capitol, the January 6 Committee is running full speed toward uncovering the truth behind Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Earlier this year, a judge ruled that certain documents, such as speech notes and activity logs, be handed over to the committee. Trump of course sought to stop the release, and last week asked the Supreme Court to conduct a full review of the case. Let’s be clear: With Republicans planning to shut down the committee if they take the House next year, this is simply an effort to run out the clock on the committee by engaging it in a long legal battle. Defending and keeping our majority is more important than ever if Trump and his cronies are to be held accountable – and we need your help to make sure this happens.
The January 6 Committee responded quickly to Trump’s obstruction by asking the Supreme Court to decide by the middle of January on whether it is stopping the release of the documents or allowing the lower court’s ruling to stay. Meanwhile, Trump cronies Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, were asked to talk to the committee – but, you guessed it, they remain loyal to Trump and have not signaled whether they will cooperate or not. Folks, if Republicans take the House next year, the committee will be shut down. Future Forum member Rep. Aguilar needs your help more than ever. Will you join him and contribute before our end-of-quarter deadline tomorrow?
