Dear John,
Glyphosate -- a.k.a. Monsanto’s Roundup® -- is driving the decline of
pollinators like bees and monarch butterflies.
Roundup® directly harms bees, and it wipes out the only food young monarchs eat.
More Roundup® = less milk weed = fewer monarchs.
Scientists have already warned that insect decline could lead to a “catastrophic
collapse of nature’s ecosystems.” But your city may be contributing to the
problem by spraying Roundup®. Your local officials -- mayors and others -- could
ban this toxic pesticide, but they need to feel pressure from people like you
and me to step up!
Protect bees and butterflies from poisonous pesticides: Tell your city to stop
spraying Roundup®!

Monsanto’s Roundup® is pushing pollinators like bees, birds, and butterflies to
the brink of extinction. Monarchs have declined by more than 90% since Roundup®
was introduced and 75% of farmland bird species are in decline.
But this destructive pesticide is doing more than just hurting pollinators --
it’s also harming our health and putting kids at risk. Monsanto is facing
lawsuits from more than 18,000 people because they believe their exposure to
RoundUp® caused their cancer. Of the four cases considered so far, a jury found
Roundup® to be a major factor in all of them. Monsanto has already been forced
to pay more than $2 billion in damages, and they’re expecting thousands more
lawsuits to be filed.
Unfortunately, thousands of cities across the country are still using this
pesticide, putting our families and environment at risk.
Trump’s EPA has refused to ban Monsanto’s toxic pesticide nationwide. If the EPA
won’t tell cities to stop spraying Roundup®, we need people like you to do it
instead!
Help protect your community from Monsanto’s Roundup®: Tell your city that our
families don’t want to be exposed to a cancer-causing pesticides!

The United States is falling behind on banning Roundup®. In fact, 25 countries
have already banned or heavily restricted its use.
Some cities are stepping up. More than 100 cities and counties nationwide have
banned or restricted glyphosate.
Your city needs to be next. But your mayor and other leaders won’t take action
unless they know people like you don’t want people or pollinators to be exposed
to this toxic weed-killer. We need engaged constituents like you to take the
lead and ban Roundup® now! Can we count your support, Friend?

stop spraying Roundup® NOW!
