After a three-month pregnancy, Bella has given birth to eight beautiful piglets.
Locked in a metal crate on a barren slatted floor, Bella is deprived. Her natural instincts are denied. She couldn't build a nest for her babies, and she won't be able to care for them. She won't be able to comfort, groom, or bond with them.
Pigs would naturally nurse their babies for up to 17 weeks. But at factory farms, after just three weeks, their babies are ripped away.
