This material violates Florida Statutes, such as FS 847.001 paragraph (3) “Child pornography” means any image depicting a minor engaged in sexual conduct, as well as 6, 8 and 10 plus FS 847.012 paragraphs 3a, 3b, 5 and 6. Parents, including Jen Showalter, Candidate for Palm Beach County School Board District 6, spoke at the board meeting on this item. The board's only response was that to announce taht it is a federal mandate to teach this material. That's not accurate, because a large portion of what they are teaching violates Florida Statutes.
