My name is Luke Warford and I’m excited to be the Democratic nominee for the Texas Railroad Commission, the statewide office that regulates the oil and gas industry here in Texas and was at the center of last February’s grid failure.
2021 has been a hard year. Texas Republicans have become more and more extreme—spreading disinformation, disenfranchising Texas voters, and refusing to take any action to fix our grid.
But in 2021, we also saw how hard Democrats will fight for us when they’re elected.
This year, Democrats used all their power to fight back against Republican attacks, going so far as to break quorum in the face of arrest by Governor Abbott, doing everything they could to block a sweeping voting rights bill that would disenfranchise voters.
Texas Democrats fought hard in 2021, but we’re gearing up to fight even harder in 2022.
I’m running for Railroad Commission to make sure Texas remains an economic powerhouse by building a 21st century energy economy that works for everyone, puts Texans to work, and curbs Texas’ greenhouse gas emissions.
