Hi John —

We’re Jenni and Lisa, social entrepreneurs from San Francisco now living in Taiwan.

We’ve been partnering with the It Gets Better project since 2015 when we launched our film together, Out & Around, a collection of LGBT+ individuals doing extraordinary works around the world. Together we did screenings in festivals, had television broadcasts, and a TED talk with over 3 million views. Our film is now available for free on the It Gets Better YouTube channel [[link removed]] in five languages along with a multilingual educational guide.

In 2020 our family moved to Taiwan and we connected with some of the activists we met during our film. We launched a new project, the Asia Rainbow Ride, a 3 day 220km charity bike ride that raises money for LGBT services in Asia. At this time, Taiwan is the only country in Asia that has approved same-sex marriage and is a beacon of hope for the region. Our bike ride is an international event to bring together individuals to further equality in Asia.

This October we held our second annual Asia Rainbow Ride. With the support of a global grant from the It Gets Better Project’s, we were able to film and produce this 4-minute video that captures the experience. [[link removed]]

Producing this video is important in so many ways. First, it gives visibility to the efforts of the Rainbow Riders and the Taiwanese NGOs that we partner with. Second, it gives hope to LGBT youth in Asia who can view people encouraging them to “just keep riding” and that the future is bright for the equality movement in the region. [[link removed]] Third, the video helps us with outreach to attract new Rainbow Riders, donors, and corporate sponsors.

That’s why we ask you to join us in contributing this year to the It Gets Better Project. [[link removed]] Your money helps support projects like ours —projects that make a huge impact abroad where resources are limited. Please, consider making a donation to the Better Everyday campaign today.

There are so many reasons to support the It Gets Better Project. Check out one that a donor gave below.

Together we can create a better world for our youth… one of increased cooperation, optimism, and equality.

Thank you,

Jenni and Lisa Dazols
