2021 has been quite a year – from the January 6th insurrectionist attacks on the Capitol, a six-month long election contest, vaccinations to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and the announcement of three right-wing candidates running against Lauren in 2022.

However, through these struggles, we persevered, continued to run a strong campaign, and helped folks throughout our IL-14 community. Lauren fought for the needs of her constituents in Washington. We have a lot to be proud of this year:

• Lauren had her eighth piece of legislation enacted this year – including the first piece of legislation to pass from the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act!
• We’ve knocked on 4,410 doors, made 12,300 phone calls, and spoke to over 3,300 people, making sure voters are ready for the election year.
• We’ve had our entire senior staff on board since May, and have hired a team of youth & campus organizers, interns and fellows.

Our fundraising numbers will soon be public – and we have to put up a strong showing against our Republican opponents.
