Good morning (or afternoon)! It's Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.

I want to start by saying thank you. We were told it couldn't happen, but we made history in January. I had faith in Georgia, and I'm honored that you had faith in me.

My father was a small businessman who hauled old junk cars, and my mother picked cotton and tobacco in the summers as a child. I grew up in public housing in Savannah.

My experience pushes me to fight every single day for progress and opportunity for all.

I'm proud to live in a country where someone like me could grow up to be the first Black U.S. Senator in Georgia history.
