Friend, 

As you may know, our team is currently running up against our most important deadline. At the end of this year, we have to turn over our fundraising numbers to state election officials and they make it public, meaning anyone — reporters, Republicans, and possible opponents — can and will comb through our data to judge the strength of our campaign.

This is the last fundraising deadline of 2021, which means it’s our last chance to show our strength before heading into the new year. We have just one more day to ensure we produce a strong report to prove to everyone that this campaign has what it takes. 

One of the numbers that will become public in January is the number of donors we had this year. And to prove we have strong grassroots support, we want to bring in as many names as possible, which is why we’re asking for just $1 today.  

$1 may not seem like a lot, but when multiplied by the size of this team, its impact will be huge. And even though the amount of money we raise is important, the number Josh really cares about is how many folks have pitched in to join our campaign.
