My name is Cheryl Moog and I am a Local 68 B&C Pensioner.

I worked at Giant Food of Landover, Maryland for 34 years. I worked hard and took pride in my job as a Journeyman Baker. I planned my future from the beginning by putting in the years with the Company knowing I had a good pension waiting for me when it came time for me to retire.

I cannot imagine losing some or all of my pension at this time in my life. I recently moved to another state where it is more affordable for me to live. Like everyone else, I have bills that I have to pay so I could not imagine having to be forced to go back and try to find another job.

We've worked hard and earned our pensions. We need the Senate to do the work to protect our pensions. The only way to do this is by passing the Butch Lewis Act of 2019 (S. 2254). This legislation is the only Senate legislation that addresses the nation’s looming multiemployer pension crisis.

It is crucial that BCTGM members and retirees across the country join me in contacting their Senators and urge them to support S. 2254.

The Butch Lewis Act of 2019 is important to me - and it is important to ALL BCTGM members with collectively bargained pensions.

Please join me, a B&C Pensioner, in contacting your Senators and urging them to support S. 2254, the Butch Lewis Act of 2019.

In solidarity,

Cheryl Moog
Retiree, BCTGM Local 68 (Baltimore)
