We’ve shown that change is possible when we come together and demand it.
John,
This year, you helped us make America a more welcoming place for refugees.
When President Biden took office in January, immigration advocates across the country expected him to immediately take action to rebuild our refugee resettlement system—starting with increasing the refugee ceiling from its historic low of 15,000.
But when it became clear the administration was going to drag their feet on this, we got to work.
We brought together faith leaders and national security experts to call on President Biden to raise the refugee ceiling. We amplified those voices calling for change. We used social media, email and more to help over 500 people from across the political spectrum call on President Biden to keep his promise. Shortly thereafter, he did by raising the ceiling to
62,500.
And we couldn’t have done it without your help.
Help us reach our end-of-year fundraising goal of $50,000 and receive a free sticker. We’ve shown that change is possible when we come together and demand it. In 2022, we’re continuing the fight to make our country a more welcoming place for immigrants and refugees—but it won’t be possible without your support.
Refugee resettlement still faces an uphill battle in the year ahead. Now as much as ever, it’s critical that we keep the pressure on our elected officials to make America a country of welcome. Your support could help us expand our efforts and reach more advocates as we continue to stand up for the value of immigrants and refugees to our nation.
Donate today to help support our work.
Thank you,
Ali Noorani President & CEO
