My dad had joined the U.S. military right after immigrating to the United States. I wanted to honor him by following in his footsteps, so right after he passed away, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy. I worked aboard several Navy ships where I loaded and offloaded torpedoes from submarines. I have always been proud of my service to the country that gave my family so much.

I see running for Congress as just another way to serve my country. Because after years of watching Kevin McCarthy put the whims of Donald Trump before the sanctity of our democracy, I knew I couldn’t stand on the sidelines anymore. So I decided to run against him.
