Make no mistake: We have made some incredible progress in Virginia this year. From passing a bipartisan infrastructure law to expanding broadband to all communities, we have worked hard together to ensure Virginians’s lives are improving.

But our work is far from over.

I’m still fighting as hard as I can to negotiate legislation that will support Virginia families and make our country more competitive in the 21st century. And to protect and build on our progress, we also must defend and expand our Democratic majority in 2022.

The infrastructure bill we fought for together is delivering several billion dollars to Virginia to improve our roads, airports, broadband and more. We’ve confirmed a huge number of highly qualified and diverse federal judges to shape our courts. Last week, we secured new temporary worker visas, which will make a big difference for small, family-owned businesses that need help.

I’m proud of what we’ve done together, but I know how much more we need to do. I’m still working to get Build Back Better over the goal line in the Senate, to push for voting rights legislation, and to seize whatever opportunities we can to move our country forward.

And at the same time, I’m looking ahead to the midterm elections and know we need to defend and elect more Democrats who will fight for our priorities.
