Dear John,
As we look ahead to 2022, we cannot forget all we accomplished this year. We saw a wave of workers go on strike to fight for decent wages, better benefits, a voice on the job, and a safe workplace. We worked hard to push new groundbreaking policies to protect workers at the federal and state level. All of this progress is a direct result of our hard-hitting campaigns to advance the rights of working people.
With your support, Jobs With Justice and our network can win more significant victories in 2022.
Our Always Essential campaign won historic, precedent-setting victories for essential workers in New York, Ohio, and Harris County, Texas. Harris County is the most populous county in the state and, just two weeks ago, adopted a first-of-its-kind essential worker task force, where workers can set the health and safety standards they need. The victory in Harris County helps establish a brand-new structure, where workers can directly impact their working conditions and help build the foundation for what's possible across the country.
We led a multi-faceted campaign to permanently strengthen laws that protect workers and educate the public around the importance of the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. The PRO Act is our most significant opportunity to update our country's woefully outdated labor laws. If passed, the PRO Act would finally give millions of working people – especially Black, brown and immigrant communities– the tools they need to come together at work to demand fair wages and the right to form a union.
YOUR support made these campaigns possible, and we’re asking you to make chip in $5 to help us continue this momentum into 2022. We are trying to create a world where everyone has access to decent wages, the right to form a union, and dignity in the workplace. Will you help us create that world? When you donate today, your contribution will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to our generous friends at Ullico Inc. They are only matching the first $15,000 of donations, so don’t miss your chance to DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT!
In Solidarity,
