"Coming to the [Ignatian Solidarity Network's] Teach-In is a really inclusive space. Being Catholic can be really challenging sometimes because it often feels really exclusive.

Myself as a woman who feels called to leadership in her Church and doesn’t really know how to hold that space, I often am challenged at places, even [a Jesuit university], which are so rooted in Ignatian Spirituality and the Jesuit tradition.
A place like the Teach-In, where there are women voices, LGBTQIA+ voices, Black voices, Indigenous voices, to hear these voices that aren’t the stereotypical white man wearing the collar means a lot to someone who doesn’t always know where her place is."

"One of the things that I really appreciated about coming to the Teach-in was the unity of purpose and the togetherness. For advocacy. For social change. And not just each of us individually saying something, but coming together as the Ignatian family.

I think it says something that we find an identity together to do this because when we do it together it's more. It says that this is the Catholic perspective.
This is not something that we each came up with out of nowhere. This is based on our beliefs. This is part of who we are, not only individuals but as a group as well."
