Hi John, it's Elizabeth Warren. In a few moments, I'm going to ask if you can make a contribution to the Working Families Party to help hit their end-of-year goal and fuel our fight for the big, structural change that working families need. But first, I wanted to talk about why this goal is so important.
2021 has shown why we need to stay in the fight.
We've continued to face crisis after crisis — attacks on our democracy, climate catastrophe, the unraveling of reproductive freedom as we know it in this country, an ongoing pandemic — and that's just scratching the surface. But through it all, we continue to fight and persist — and we have a lot of reasons to be hopeful.
Together, we took back the Senate in January — and WFP was a critical partner during the runoffs in Georgia, organizing tirelessly to power Raphael Warnock and the rest of the Democratic ticket to victory.
All across the country last month, people-powered progressives defied the odds. They won mayorships, city council seats, and school board seats because of WFP's year-round organizing and investments in working people who are fighting for their own communities — and who also make up the grassroots bench that may one day run for higher office.
No one is fighting harder to win jobs and care, fix our democracy, heal the climate, and tax the rich — organizing across the country.
But in a dead-even Senate, there's no denying this work has been hard. We've seen over the last few months how difficult it is for a Congress with razor-thin majorities to pass priorities like paid leave, child care, and lowering the cost of prescription drugs, to name just a few. And if Republicans take back the House or Senate, they'll slam the brakes on our entire agenda.
We can't give up. We've got to expand our majorities with the type of progressive fighters who believe in our vision for America. That's what WFP will be fighting for in 2022, and it's why I'm asking you:
If you're able to, can you make an end-of-year contribution to the Working Families Party today? Your donation would make a real difference to elect (and re-elect!) more champions for working people in Congress in 2022.
Contribute
Imagine how much more we could get done with expanded majorities. Imagine what we could accomplish with people-first leaders joining me in Congress — leaders like Mandela Barnes running for Senate in Wisconsin or Jessica Cisneros running for the House in Texas.
John, we can make Washington work for everyone, not just the rich and powerful — but we've got to fight for it.
Can you contribute $5 or whatever makes sense to the Working Families Party before the end of the year to help build working families majorities in 2022?

I'm grateful to call the Working Families Party — and WFP supporters like you across the country — allies in our shared fight for a nation that cares for everyone.
Thanks for being a part of this, and wishing you and your family a Happy New Year,
Elizabeth
