John, I have a quick update on my friend Val Demings’ campaign to become Florida’s first Black senator and first Black woman senator: In a race that experts say will determine Senate control, she’s within 2 points of Marco Rubio.
With the momentum behind her, Republicans are dumping MILLIONS into the state to organize on the ground, and Rubio is blanketing the TV airwaves with deceitful attack ads against her. With our Senate majority and progressive agenda at stake, we need to do everything we can to help Val Demings fight back and win this race.
This morning, her team told me that they need to raise another $15,734 by midnight to stay on track and meet their critical end-of-year goal. The good news is, if everyone reading this email chips in just $5 right now, we can close that gap in seconds.

Growing up in the segregated South wasn't easy. Becoming the first in her family to graduate college wasn't easy. Working her way up to chief of police as a Black woman on the force wasn't easy. Serving as an impeachment manager in Congress and prosecuting Donald Trump wasn't easy.
Val Demings is facing her toughest battle yet, so she needs grassroots Democrats from every corner of the country to fuel her campaign and help her make history in Florida.
