Bees can't defend themselves from toxic neonicotinoid pesticides -- that's where we come in. Will you donate to Environment Colorado and help save the bees? DONATE:

Friend,

A new study has found that several generations of bees suffer impacts from just one application of toxic neonicotinoid pesticides.[1]

Scientists already knew that neonics affected baby bee brain growth and the nervous systems of adult bees. But new research has shown that when bees are exposed to neonics, their offspring are affected as well.[2,3]

There's a growing mountain of evidence that neonics are killing our bee population, and we're working to win bans on the worst uses of these toxic pesticides, and to get them taken off the shelves of major retailers such as Amazon.

This is a critical campaign for our environment, one that we can't win without resources. If you donate today to help save the bees, your gift will be matched by generous donors, who will double your impact up to $100,000 nationwide.

Will you donate to Environment Colorado today?

Bees are critical to our crops, other plant life and ecosystems throughout the country, and they're disappearing at an alarming rate.

In the last year, beekeepers across the United States reported losing more than 45% of their honeybee colonies.[4] In eight states, American bumblebees have all but disappeared completely.[5]

Without bees, our food supply will be decimated. The environment depends on these precious pollinators. Make your matched donation today.

Environment Colorado and our national network have collected more than 100,000 signatures calling on Amazon to stop selling neonic-based pesticides, just like we convinced Lowe's and Home Depot to commit to doing several years ago. And our sister group in Maine helped lead the charge to successfully ban some of the worst uses of neonics this year. But we still have a lot more work to do if we're going to save the bees.

That's why generous donors are stepping up to match your donations, until midnight tomorrow, up to $100,000 nationwide. Will you double your impact by donating now?
