NATIONAL NEWS
When JD joined Tucker Carlson on his show shortly after he announced his bid for U.S. Senate, Tucker spoke highly of JD and pointed to the fact that the Left is ramping up their attacks against him.
In part, Tucker said:
“There’s a small category of people that run for office because they really believe something, and they have something to say. The second [JD] announced, places like the Daily Beast, The Washington Post and The Atlantic, the axis and the protectors of the ruling class, have gone crazy – they hate him, they really hate him. But that’s how you know he means it.”
JD joined The Ingraham Angle to talk about the Biden administration’s divisive attacks against Republicans and what GOP candidates should do about it.
In part, JD said:
“This is not about disagreeing with somebody. They are trying to turn half of the country into second-class citizens. From the tax mandates, to Attorney General Garland going after parents as domestic terrorists, they’re trying to make it impossible to live a normal life if you think the way we think.”
LOCAL LEADS
JD made the front page of the Mt. Vernon News while meeting with voters in the area.
OUTSIDER ON TOP
JD chatted with the Greenville Daily Advocate about his campaign as the conservative outsider in the race. In part, the article says:
Not having previously held political office, Vance characterizes himself as an outsider.
“I think it’s helpful in an era where our politics have become so corrupted, to have somebody with a fresh set of eyes who is outside the political process, who’s had some success in the private sector,” Vance said. “I think it’s time to get rid of the career politicians and the people who spend their entire lives caught up in Washington, D.C.”
Vance believes long-time politicians and an embedded federal bureaucracy, as well as many large multi-national corporations, technology firms, and the universities are much to blame for America’s problems.
VALLEY VOTES
JD spoke with WFMJ Channel 21 while in the Mahoning Valley meeting with voters. In part, the TV station said:
JD Vance, a business owner in his first run for political office, explained he's running for the US Senate to help make life better for people in Ohio.
Vance said, "Instead of complaining I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and do something. I believe you still have a really big crisis with a lot of good manufacturing jobs being shipped over seas, a lot of people struggling to make ends meet, and a lot of real bad policies from the Biden administration that are driving inflation through the roof for working families."
Vance tells WFMJ news he believes moving manufacturing jobs back to America will help reduce the supply chain crisis and the backlog of cargo ships sitting off the coast of California.
KIRK CATCH UP
JD spoke with Charlie Kirk about government and multinational corporations forcing people to get the shot.
"There’s no reason we couldn’t do at the federal level what Ron DeSantis has effectively done in Florida, which is to say, ‘Neither the Government nor a multinational corporation will force someone to take the shot in order to earn a living,” JD said.
CUNNINGHAM REVIEW
JD regularly joins WLW’s Bill Cunningham on the air, and they always discuss the most pressing issues of the day. In this segment, they discussed General Mark Milley giving testimony before Congress and the deep state that is trying to take power away from the People.
WHIZ WELCOME
While in Zanesville, JD met with WHIZ-TV to talk about his campaign.
A self-described political outsider, best-selling author, and former Marine, JD Vance is looking to fill the United States Senate seat soon to be vacated by Rob Portman who is retiring.
“I’m running for the senate because I think that the country has not been governed effectively -and not just for the past six months- but the past 30 or 40 years. And we basically have a situation where the people in charge of this country, I think, have gotten very wealthy off of it. They’ve plundered the country that our parents and grandparents built, and if you dare complain about it, they call you names. They call you a racist, a xenophobe, a bigot if you don’t like the crisis at the Southern border, if you don’t like the fact that a lot of our manufacturing jobs have gotten shipped overseas. And so I think normal people just need somebody to stand up, represent their interests, and fight for them in DC, and that’s what I want to do in D.C. as a
senator,” JD Vance, a candidate for U.S. senate stated.
LOOKING TO LIMA
The Lima News covered one of JD’s campaign stops in Lima and showcased his running as a conservative outsider.
Unlike his Republican competitors, Vance is a political outsider who hasn’t served on the state or federal level, something he believes can play to his advantage on the campaign trail.
“Being an outsider isn’t just calling yourself an outsider, it’s actually running on things that other people are afraid to run on and talking about issues that other people are afraid to talk about,” Vance said. “That to me is the way in which our politics is most corrupt, it’s that these people get in there, they say the same things, they think the same way. They’re totally unwilling to think outside of the box.”
VANCE: VACCINE PASSPORTS THREATEN TO BECOME A WEAPON AGAINST US
JD penned an opinion piece for the Cincinnati Enquirer about the threat of vaccine passports.
In part, JD writes:
“Vaccine passports – whether coming from the government or corporations under government pressure – are segregationist, discriminatory and authoritarian by their very nature. They should be wholly rejected by any society that values equality under the law.”
“Vaccine mandates today threaten to become a monster, devolving into a Chinese-style social credit system. Obesity is a far more serious public health crisis than COVID. Should we mandate that no one be allowed to eat fried chicken? Should we punish those who do, maybe prevent them from traveling to see their families? Neither our government nor our big companies can be trusted with this kind of enforcement power, especially now, when everything from what you eat to "racism" is considered a public health problem.”
SCARING THE LEFT
An opinion piece describes JD’s run for U.S. Senate threatens the Left and their globalist elites.
In part, the piece reads:
Vance has some qualities that most politicians lack these days: thoughtfulness and an authentic willingness to speak his mind. He is deeply concerned about the state of the working-class people of all races in today’s hyper-corporate, globalized America, and he hasn’t surrendered his mind to polls or to the donor class in an effort to fit in. He is what he has always been, warts and all, and he’s offering that to the people of his home state with the belief that they will sooner trust a person like themselves than they will yet another ambitious politician twisting to meet the prevailing political winds.”
KILMEADE COVERAGE
JD often joins Brian Kilmeade’s show on Fox News Radio. This segment, JD talked about Republicans using a government shutdown as leverage to end Joe Biden’s illegal vaccine mandates.
