When you work at a hospital that cares for nearly 200,000 patients a year, it’s no surprise that you tend to focus on the people in the beds.
But one day, the compassionate staff at Medical University of South Carolina made an important discovery. Many of the children visiting patients in the hospital were not getting enough to eat, especially in the summer.
Their discovery led to a unique and effective summer meals program for hungry kids — a program you helped make possible!
It’s just one of the many ways more kids are getting the nutrition they need in the difficult summer months when school is out. And it’s another example of the ways your support is helping fight childhood hunger.
Thank you for all you do.
