Hi team,

Earlier this week Future Forum member Representative Colin Allred (TX-32) reached out to you to talk about Build Back Better.

As the Vice-Chair of Future Forum, Rep. Allred is dedicated to uplifting America’s working families and will not stop fighting for affordable childcare, lower prescription drug prices, and solutions to climate change.

But we want you to hear it from the representative himself, so we’ve forwarded his message below.

Our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the year is just a couple of days away, and we’ve set up a $5,000 end-of-year goal to support our efforts in delivering for the American people.

If you are in a position to do so, please consider donating whatever you can today! [[link removed]]

Subject: We won’t give up now

Team,

We’ve been through a lot this year, and as it comes to a close, I’m proud of all the great work we did and ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead alongside my Future Forum colleagues.

I am so proud to have helped pass into law two historic pieces of legislation, the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. From passing immediate economic relief to help folks weather the pandemic and to get shots in arms and kids back to school safely, to creating jobs while investing in upgrading our roads and bridges, my Future Forum colleagues and I delivered for hardworking families.

But as we near 2022, there’s much more work to be done. Our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the year is quickly approaching, and we’ve set up a $5,000 end-of-year goal to make sure we can keep delivering for the American people. Will you contribute whatever you can today to help us defend our majority? [[link removed]]

So many families across our country are depending on us to lower the costs of health care and prescription drugs. We must deliver for them and ensure that families have access to the care they need.

The cost of childcare has sky-rocketed and made many options unaffordable for parents who were already struggling even before the pandemic. We must get federal help to support these kids and their parents and to help folks, especially moms, get back to work.

And we cannot forget about climate change and the devastating effects we are already seeing here in Texas and across the country year after year. We have a responsibility to pass on a healthy planet to future generations, along with the tools to maintain a healthy environment.

There is too much at stake for working families for us to give up now.

As 2021 ends and we head into 2022, I will not give up on Build Back Better and lowering costs for families struggling to get by. Our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline is quickly approaching – and we need you by our side to defend our majority. Will you join me? [[link removed]]
