I want to update you on the latest from Capitol Hill: I’m not giving up on passing the Build Back Better plan because the work isn’t done. I’ve been in tough negotiations before and I’m not going to let a bump in the road derail this legislation now.

I’m negotiating to get Build Back Better back on track because Virginians across the Commonwealth -- and Americans across the country -- are counting on this. Build Back Better is going to mean so much for working families in Virginia and I want to make sure my colleagues hear that loud and clear.

Build Back Better would be bold legislation that impacts every part of life in Virginia and the United States. Build Back Better would expand access to education at every level, including investments that make universal pre-K free and lower the cost of community college. It would help working parents by lowering child care costs and making it more accessible. It would close health care coverage gaps and lower prescription drug costs. 

We can’t let this opportunity go to waste. While I work on getting this legislation to the president’s desk, it’s important that we all speak up now.
