I've never really been one for saviors. Of course, there are people in the world, people in my life, heroes who inspire me. But the idea that some special rescuer is going to come riding in at the last minute to save the day? That's never been my reality.
What I
have seen, and what I
do believe in, is the power of people coming together. Everyday to advance a common vision. Coalitions. Movements. Uprisings.
That's what I'm hoping for as we close out this year. I'm hoping that you, your friends, your neighbors will see how real the dangers we face are, and will decide to do something about it.
For just the next two days, all donations to Planned Parenthood Action Fund up to a total of $500,000 will be doubled by a special matching gift. Click here to make your contribution.
We can't count on someone else to protect access to abortion if the Supreme Court decides to let abortion bans remain in effect, like they recently did with Texas's S.B. 8. We can't count on someone else to undo the decades of discrimination that have closed off health care options for rural communities, immigrants, as well as Black, Brown, and Indigenous patients.
But we can count on each other. And if you decide to
chip in with a gift today, you'll be doing your part.
That matters, and I promise you it will make a difference when you combine your strength with Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporters across the country.
Please, don't let this chance slip away — make sure your gift gets matched by giving before the deadline.
Who needs saviors when we've got each other?
Sincerely,
Alexis McGill Johnson, President
Planned Parenthood Action Fund
